Lybria is a band comprised of three long time students of mine. They have been recording their ep at my studio for the last couple of months, and it is finally being released!

Free Advice and Resources for Your Band

This past May, Justin Essenpreis (from Reviews/Resist) and I hosted a three-part music seminar called The School of Hard Rocks. We did this in hopes to educate bands, and promote smart decision making.

We covered topics ranging from touring, booking shows, recording, promoting gigs, as well as broader issues like the state of the music industry itself.

The website has a ton of great resources for your band including places to get merch designed and printed, where to promote your band, and links to other great resources. It also has audio recordings from our seminar that you can download and listen to, should that interest you!

I highly recommend checking it out if you’re in a band, and hopefully you’ll be able to avoid some of the pitfalls that we had found during our time as young musicians.

Rush: Beyond the Lighted Stage

Here is a fun event for all of you RUSH fans.

Marcus Theaters is having one showing of ‘Beyond the Lighted Stage‘, what looks to be a great documentary about the Holy Triumvirate. This is the only showing for this movie in the Lake County area, so I’d recommend trying to get your tickets ahead of time.

I’d love to see a bunch of students out there!
